FreePBX gives you a full-featured PBX on open source, but the gap between "installed" and "working reliably for a business" is where most projects stall. I set up FreePBX properly the first time — extensions, trunks, routing, voicemail, and the NAT and firewall configuration that decides whether your calls actually have audio.
