Why do this in the browser?

Most free PDF sites upload your document to their servers, process it there, and ask you to trust their retention policy. Contracts, invoices and identity documents are exactly the files you should not be uploading to a random web service.

These tools use the browser's own capabilities. Your files are read into memory locally, processed, and offered back as a download — nothing is transmitted. You can verify that by opening your browser's network tab, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads: everything still works.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a file size limit?

There is no imposed limit, but processing happens in your device's memory, so very large documents (hundreds of megabytes) may be slow or run out of memory on a phone. Desktop browsers handle typical documents comfortably.

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

No. Encrypted PDFs cannot be read without the password, and this tool will report an error. Remove the protection in a PDF reader first.

Can I reorder pages before merging?

You can reorder the files using the arrows in the list — documents are merged top to bottom. Reordering individual pages within a document is not supported here.

What image formats can become a PDF?

JPG and PNG are embedded directly. Other formats such as WebP, GIF or BMP are converted to JPEG first, which is lossy but visually near-identical at the quality used.
